Our first trailers are live at partner locations across the Houston metro — all GPS-tracked, app-controlled, and available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Customers can rent a trailer in under 4 minutes using the Moovalot app, with no rental counter, no paperwork, and no store hours to worry about.
What It Took to Get Here
Fourteen months of groundwork made today possible:
- July 2023: Concept validated with Brixmor Property Group
- October 2023: Moovalot, LLC incorporated
- Early 2024: Seed capital secured from founding investors
- April 2024: Fleet insurance arranged through Marsh McLennan
- August 2024: Digi International XBee 3 IoT infrastructure goes live on Verizon cellular
- September 2024: Location agreements signed with KIMCO Realty and BRIXMOR
- November 2024: Fleet deployed. App live. Doors open.
The Model
Retail partners host Moovalot-branded trailers at their properties at zero cost. Every trailer is equipped with a Digi International XBee 3 LTE-M cellular module for real-time GPS, remote locking, and alarm monitoring. Customers pay by the minute — most rentals run under 5.
The self-service model works because the technology works. Flite Signs fabricates and installs the security hardware monthly. Verizon's Mobile Private Network keeps every device connected. Firebase powers the real-time fleet dashboard our operations team monitors around the clock.
