The Vendor Ecosystem Powering the Moovalot Fleet

📰 Company News

Moovalot is an asset-light, technology-first company. But behind every trailer placement is a network of carefully selected vendors who manufacture, equip, and maintain the physical infrastructure. Here is how it all fits together.

BigTex Trailers — Fleet Manufacturer

BigTex Trailers is Moovalot's primary trailer supplier. Based in Mount Pleasant, TX, BigTex is one of the largest trailer manufacturers in North America. Moovalot sources its 5x8 open and enclosed utility trailers through BigTex, with a fleet expansion to 12-foot models underway as of Q1 2026. BigTex trailers are known for their durability in high-cycle commercial environments — exactly what a 24/7 self-service rental program demands.

Digi International — IoT Hardware

Every Moovalot trailer runs a Digi International XBee 3 Global LTE-M/NB-IoT module (XB3-C-G4-UT-001), procured through DigiKey Electronics. The XBee 3 provides real-time GPS, remote lock/unlock, alarms, and remote diagnostics. As of January 2026, 65+ units have been deployed, with monthly orders running through our operations team.

Verizon Wireless — Private Network Connectivity

All Digi IoT modules operate on a Verizon Mobile Private Network — a dedicated cellular layer that isolates fleet communications from the public internet. LTE-M connectivity ensures always-on performance even at the edge of metro coverage areas.

Flite Signs, LLC — Hardware Fabrication

Flite Signs fabricates and installs the security boxes, mounting plates, and hardware components that house the IoT modules on each trailer. Working on a monthly production and installation cadence, Flite Signs is the hands-on operational partner that keeps new trailers entering service on schedule. Ethan Newton (Design Manager, Flite Signs) also designed the Moovalot logo pin mark.

Mailgun — Communications Infrastructure

Mailgun powers all transactional email and SMS notifications for Moovalot — from rental confirmations and alerts to the automated partner inquiry response system on moovalot.com. The partnership inquiry portal, launched February 2026, sends immediate autoresponses to prospective retail partners within seconds of submission.

Google Cloud / Firebase — Platform Infrastructure

Moovalot's backend runs entirely on Google Cloud with Firebase Firestore as the real-time database. Every trailer's GPS position, lock status, rental state, and maintenance data flows through Firebase — enabling the sub-second app response times that make a 4-minute rental checkout possible.

This vendor ecosystem — carefully selected for reliability, scalability, and fit — is what makes Moovalot's asset-light, nationally scalable model work. As we expand from 26 to 100+ locations, each of these partnerships scales with us.
